HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES

Working with Salt Lake County and Utah State Fairpark officials, Outside Adventure Expo will be produced with health and safety procedures in place according to current guidelines.

WAYS TO ATTEND

AT THE VENUE

What is day parking like?

• On-site Day Pass parking will be available for purchase upon arrival $10 per day per vehicle No overnight parking or camping.

What are my transportation options around the event?

• Vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, and golf carts are NOT permitted in the Utah State Fairpark.

Is the venue accessible for limited mobility / handicapped people?

• Attendees with limited mobility will be able to park in our handicapped-designated areas. There are accessible restrooms in the exhibitor areas. The venue is level, with a large amount of pavement (though rough); some is graveled.

Can I use my drone at the venue?

• Drones are not allowed, for safety reasons.

What kind of food and drinks are available?

• There will be a wide variety of food and beverage concessionaires on-site.
• We are working closely with vendors to provide contactless payment where possible.

What will the weather be like?

• Outside Adventure Expo is an outdoor event—be prepared for any and all weather!
• Daytime: average temp is 83°F; warm to hot by day, mild at night
• Nighttime: average temp is 61°F
• Elevation: 4,226 feet
• Approx. sunrise/set: 6:00 am / 9:00 pm

DAY PASS TICKETS

If I plan to buy a Day Pass ticket do I need to buy tickets online?

• Yes. Day Pass tickets are sold online for your convenience, in advance for $15/day or day of the show for $20/day. Bring a copy of your ticket (digital or print is accepted) with you for check-in.

How do I purchase a day pass?

• It’s simple! Purchase passes online and pay by credit card at Outside Adventure Expo.

Will I have to sign a waiver?

• All ticket holders agree to the waiver and terms outlined in our Participant Release of Liability and the Communicable Disease Hold Harmless Waiver with your online registration / ticket purchase. Read and download the Waivers.

How will attendance limitations affect check-in?

• Per Salt Lake County Health regulations, Outside Adventure Expo does not have any attendance limitations.

WEEKEND PASS TICKETS

If I plan to buy a Weekend Pass ticket do I need to buy tickets online?

• Yes. Weekend Pass tickets are sold online only for $45. Bring a copy of your ticket (digital or print is accepted) with you to check-in.

How do I purchase a weekend pass?

• It’s simple! Purchase passes online and pay by credit card at Outside Adventure Expo.

Is camping included?

• Per venue rules camping is not allowed inside Utah State Fairpark.

ADVENTURE RIG SHOWCASE TICKETS

If I plan to buy an Adventure Rig Showcase ticket do I need to buy tickets online?

• Adventure Rig Showcase tickets will be sold online only, in advance for $85 or day of the show for $100. Bring a copy of your ticket (digital or print is accepted) with you for check-in.

Can I camp overnight?

• Unfortunately, overnight camping is not allowed inside the fairgrounds. Camping is available for purchase at the adjacent KOA. For more information, visit Outside Adventure Expo.

What vehicles are allowed in the Showcase?

• We accept vehicles of all varieties! If it’s built for adventure and has a great story, we want it to be on display at the show. If you have concerns please email info@outsideadventureexpo.com.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

Do you give refunds due to weather?

• We are a show by adventurers, for adventurers. We do not give refunds due to weather —it does not stop the show, it just makes the stories more epic!

What is the refund policy?

• We have to strictly adhere to our refund policy in order to organize the highest quality event and to run our business; we’re sure you understand.
• All tickets are refundable prior to 60-days out from the opening day of the event. After that open refund period has closed, all tickets are non-refundable and sales are final.
• There are NO refunds if you cannot attend.
• Tickets will not be refunded due to inclement weather. Events take place rain or shine.

What happens if the event is canceled or postponed?

• If the event is postponed, attendees that don’t request a refund or transfer to another event will be automatically transferred to the postponed dates.
• If the event is canceled, attendees will be offered refund or transfer options at the time of cancellation.
• We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.

What is your transfer policy?

• Attendee to Attendee ticket transfers: It is the responsibility of the person currently registered for Outside Adventure Expo to find someone to acquire their ticket. You may want to visit the Facebook Event Page to find someone to take your spot, or to find a ticket that is being offered for transfer.

What is the Transfer Procedure?

• In the confirmation email click the link to ‘Set Up Account Now’. Or log-in HERE with the email used at registration (first time user will need to claim there account and set-up a password)
• Click Registration at the top of the page
• Click on your order
• Locate the ticket/registrant to be transferred
• Click ‘Edit’ to change the name, email and any other relevant information on the ticket

KIDS

Can I bring my kids to Outside Adventure Expo?

• Yes, please! Kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult.

PETS

Can I bring my dog(s) to Outside Adventure Expo?

• Yes! We try to be pet-friendly, however, because of a dog bite incident, we have some rules:
  • Dogs must be leashed, quiet, and cleaned-up-after at all times.
  • NO “zip” leashes (the retractable kind); this is so dogs do not lunge unexpectedly at kids or other dogs.
  • Aggressive dogs will be banned, this includes fighting other dogs, barking, or showing unsocial behavior.
  • Do NOT leave any pet (or child!) in a vehicle at any time—it will be hotter than you think, and it is fatal.

MEDIA USAGE, RIGHTS AND RELEASE

MEDIA / PHOTO RELEASE:

• At Outside Adventure Expo, photography, audio, and video recordings may occur, either by media for professional purposes, by Outside Adventure Expo staff / contractors for promotional purposes, or by attendees for recreational sharing on social media. Your entry to Outside Adventure Expo constitutes your consent to such photography, filming, and/or recording and to any use, in any and all media in perpetuity, of your appearance and voice for any purpose in connection with your presence at Outside Adventure Expo.
• * If you do not wish to be photographed or videotaped, politely approach them and request that they not include you. If you are uncomfortable doing this, ask the instructor or an OAE staff person for assistance.

MEDIA USE:

• Participant agrees that all content of all classes / programs is copyright to the presenter and may not be used for generating revenue / building viewers online or in any other format without the owner’s explicit permission in writing (short clips of 5 minutes or less or photographs are allowed).

RESTRICTIONS:

• Drones are not allowed.
